LOCATION
The contest will be held on the Museum of Aviation grounds among the aircraft exhibits in the "Century of Flight Hangar" . The Location Tab
above will link you to Google Maps which depicts the location. It is
centered on the "Century of Flight Hangar". Use the zoom in/zoom out
feature (+ and - buttons in bottom right corner of the map) to identify
it. You can also use the Location Tab to get driving directions. Once
the map is open, click the "Get Directions" button in the left column,
type in your beginning location, and It will compile driving directions
for you.
FOOD AND DRINK
ENTRY FEES
Entry into the Museum of Aviation is free and the entire public is invited.
Entry fees apply only to the actual contestants participating in the contest. There is no fee for those who wish to just view the models or purchase from vendors.
Contest entry fees will be $15.00 for adults ($13.00 for current IPMS/USA members) for the first five models. Subsequent model entries will be $1.00 each.
Contest entry fees for juniors (17 yrs and younger) is a $5.00 flat fee with no additional cost for entering multiple models.
RAFFLE
The will be a raffle with multiple drawings during the day. Raffle tickets are $1.00 each or six for $5.00. Purchases can be made at either the registration desk or the raffle table itself. There will be a 50/50 drawing with the proceeds going to the Museum of Aviation's B-17 Restoration Project.
CONTEST RULES
The contest rules will follow modified International Plastic Modelers Society (IPMS) rules. Please click here or on the Contest Rules tab above for the specific Contest Rules.
NOTE: The following rule is in effect for SCOTTCON 2018:
Models that have placed in any Regional after 01 Jan 2018 are eligible to compete. However, models that have won First, Second, or Third place, or Out-Of-The-Box awards in any category of any IPMS/USA National Convention Model Contest or Regional Contest before January 1, 2018 may not be entered. Models that have won an award as part of a collection, triathlon or group entry may be entered individually in the contest. Models that have won individually may be entered as part of a collection, triathlon or group entry.

VENDORS
For vendors wishing to sell their wares at our contest, the cost for tables is kit donations to the contest raffle. Please click either here or on the Vendor's Page tab at the top. Then print and fill out the Vendor's Request Form and send it to Mr. Bill Paul, our contest director. Your name will then be posted on our Attending Vendor's list. If you have a website and wish to advertise, please provide it in the Request Form and we'll post a link to it as well.
ABOUT US
The Gen Robert L Scott Model Chapter was formed in 1977 and named after Macon's WWII fighter pilot ace, Robert L. Scott, Jr. who authored the WWII best seller "God Is My Co-Pilot."
